Merle Wiehl, a freshman from Germany, had a big weekend at the Salt Lake tournament. The freshman hit two free throws late to help the Cougars to a 67-66 win over Utah State-Eastern. Wiehl finished with 16 points, five rebounds, and three assists in the win. Wiehl also had 19 points in a loss to Salt Lake, where she had six rebounds along with three assists and steals.
