Zach Berg, a sophomore pitcher from Parker, Colorado, picked up a win and save in four days to help the Cougars earn a playoff spot. Berg picked up the win against Otero by tossing four innings in striking out six while allowing a run and three hits. Then a couple days later, Berg finished off Sunday's must-win game against Lamar with a 4-inning relief appearance for the save in the 6-4 win. Berg struck out five and allowed just two hits in the save.
