The entire WNCC family works hard to ensure that all of
our students have a wonderful experience while attending our
institution. All of our
staff prides themselves on being able to assist a wide gamut of student
needs. We sincerely hope
that no issues arise while your child is attending WNCC.
If issues should arise, there are steps that each student athlete
should take to quickly alleviate the issue.
Please refer to the steps below when advising your child.
Academic related Issues:
1.
The student athlete must schedule
a meeting with his/her instructor to discuss the specific issue.
2.
If the student is not
satisfied with the outcome of step 1, the student may then schedule a
meeting with his/her head coach to discuss the issue.
3.
After meeting with the
student’s respective head coach, the head coach will then advise the
student of further steps to take.
These steps may include additional meetings with the
Vice-President of Student Services, or the Vice-President of
Instruction.
Athletic related issues:
1.
The student athlete must schedule a meeting with his/her head coach to
discuss the specific issue.
2.
If the student is not
satisfied with the outcome of step 1, the student must then schedule a
meeting with the Athletic Director or the Assistant Athletic Director.
3.
After meeting with the
Athletic Director or the Assistant Athletic Director, a plan of action
will be determined for each individual case.
This plan of action may include additional conferences with the
sport’s head coach, the Vice-President of Student Services, or other
personnel within the WNCC staff.
*Please note that all student athletes must follow this protocol.
Special consideration will not be given to those that skip the
above steps, or if parents choose to begin the process for their child.
