The Central Community College men's basketball team closed out the WNCC Classic in Scottsbluff on Friday and Saturday. A recap of both contests is below.

The Raiders are 3-6 on the season and will take on Hastings College JV on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Raider Fieldhouse. The game was rescheduled from Feb. 8 when it was postponed due to inclement weather.

Game 2 vs. Lamar (Colo.) Community College

The Runnin' Lopes held one for a 72-70 win over the Raiders. CCC held a 42-31 halftime lead before Lamar limited the Raiders to 28 points in the second half.

Michael Ozomah led CCC in scoring with 21 points, while Gacoby Jones scored 15 points. Dwight Glover chipped in 13 points.

Game 3 vs. Western Nebraska Community College

The Raiders made a furious comeback in the second half before falling to the host Cougars, 91-83.

WNCC held the lead at halftime, 40-29. CCC responded by outscoring the Cougars 54-51 in the final 20 minutes of play, but time ran out.

Five CCC players scored in double figures with Glover leading the charge with 18 points. Ozomah posted 17 points, while Jayden Byabato and Caleb Muia each scored a dozen points. Jones rounded out the double-digit scoring with 10 points.
