Courtney Medina begins her second season as the head coach of WNCC.

The former Cougar player, who played for WNCC from 2014-16, has a strong background in softball from playing to coaching. WNCC came to play for the Cougars from Fossil Ridge High School in Ft. Collins, Colorado. In her two years at WNCC from 2014-16, she garnered many accolades, including first-team all-region in 2016 and third-team NFCA All-American. The centerfielder also holds the record for most singles in a season (88) and is 6th in career singles (120). Courtney also is fourth in season hits (106), second in season runs scored (91, and third in season stolen bases (57). As for her career, she is fifth in stolen bases (80, and sixth in singles (120).

After WNCC, Medina went on to play two years at Lubbock Christian University in Lubbock, Texas, where she excelled as a base-runner by stealing 37 bases in 2017, which was 20th in the nation, earning her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing in 2018. She then came back to WNCC and was an assistant coach for a year. She has been involved with softball during her entire live.
