Helena Kuck, a sophomore from Brazil, had a nice showing at the Region IX tournament last week in helping the Cougars to the semis and almost had a dramatic comeback win over Western Wyoming. Kuck had 19 points and five 3-pointers  in a quarterfinal win over Eastern Wyoming and then had nine points with two threes against Western Wyoming. Kuck played all 40 minutes of the two games. For her effort, Kuck was one of four Cougars on the All-tournament team and she was also one of five players that made South All-Region. Kuck finishes second in the record books with 153 made threes in her career
