Laura Montiel, a sophomore from Granada, Spain, helped the Cougars to two conference wins over the weekend, where she combined for 31 points and 11 rebounds in the wins over Otero and Trinidad. In the Otero contest, Laura finished with 19 points with six rebounds, three steals, and two assists. In the Trinidad win, the 5-foot-7 guard has 12 points, five rebounds, and three assists. She had one 3-pointer in each game. Laura is averaging 10 points a contest and 4.5 rebounds a contest. She has scored in double figures in the last four games.
