Trinidad State Falls Against Western Nebraska and Laramie County

TRINIDAD, Colo. – The Trinidad State College men's soccer program hosted Western Nebraska and Laramie County as the team walked away 0-2 over the weekend at Central Park.

GAME 1: Western Nebraska 3, Trinidad State 0

The Trojans and Cougars battled to a 0-0 draw in the first half as neither team gave an inch of breathing room defensively. The Cougars answered with back-to-back goals to open the second half as the Trojans could never respond. Western Nebraska added a goal in the 56th minute to take a 3-0 victory.

Dorien Amoako (So., Commerce City, Colo.) led the Trojans offense taking 3 shots with 2 shots on goal.

Goalie Bryan Amezcua (So., Lakewood, Colo.) finished the day with 10 saves and 13 SOG.

Game 2: Laramie County 8, Trinidad State 0

The scored 2 quick goals to open the match and the Trojans had no response as the Golden Eagles walked away with a 8-0 win.

In the match, Lucas Vandji (Fr., Romaneche, France) and Luis Pacheco (So., Edwards, Colo.) managed 2 shots each while teammates Amoako, Brycen Smith (Fr., Tijeras, N.M.), and Victor Quintana Antillon (So., Pueblo, Colo.) took one shot apiece.

Amezcua tallied 4 saves off 8 SOG while Ermal Ahmetaj (Fr., Tirane, Albania) tallied 5 saves off 9 SOG.

The Trojans will hit the road for the final 3 matches of the season against Dodge City (October 2nd), Garden City (October 5th), and Otero (October 12th).
