Three Western Nebraska Community College women's basketball players earned post-season awards in helping the Cougar women to a 25-4 record.

                Hannah Sparks, a 5-8 guard from Aurora, Colorado, collected the most post-season honors. Sparks was named to the Region IX All-tournament team. In two games at regionals last week, Sparks scored 15 points. She had 10 points and three assists in a win over Central Wyoming and then had five points and three assists in the loss against Casper College.

                Sparks earned a second honor, being named to the South All-Region Defense team.

                The Cougars Kalli Feddersen a sophomore from Rawlins, Wyoming, and Sladjana Rakovic, a freshman from Montenegro, both earned South All-region honors.

                Feddersen finished the season averaging 10 points and five rebounds a game, while Rakovic averaged 11 points and six rebounds a game.

                Other members of the South All-region team included Chante Church and Kendra Baucom of McCook; Macy Myers and Shelby Patterson of Otero; Jessica Renata and Jennae Fieldgrove from NJC; Kalli Feddersen and Sladjana Rakovic of WNCC, and Emily Evans and Sarah Bersang of Eastern Wyoming.

                Other members of the South All-region Defense team include Kaylea Watson of McCook, Devynn Lapp of Lamar, Cierra Davis of NJC, Alayna Lattimore of Trinidad, Delaney Gaddis of Otero, Hannah Sparks of WNCC, and Emily Evans of EWC.

                North All-region members included Monika Rodomska, Gabby Johnson, Ada Yalcin, and Alyssa Big Man of Casper, Zuzana Talachova of Sheridan, Mary Goulding and Nikki Burke of Gillette, Theresa Mac-Dangosu of Miles, Irene Garrido Perez of Western Wyoming, and Kealani Sagapolu of Northwest.

                The North All-region Defense includes Ada Yalcin of Casper, Quriss Romeor of Sheridan, Heather Townsend of Central Wyoming, Irene Garrido-Perez of Western Wyoming, Angie Murnion of Gillette, Makiya Givens of Miles, and Chandler Rose of Northwest.

                The Region IX all-tournament team consists of Casper's Ada Yalcin, Monika Radomska, Alyssa Big Man; Central Wyoming's Olivia Elliss; Gillette's Shy'Tyra Powell, Taylor Deaton, Nakedra Burke, and Mary Goulding; McCook's Chante Church and Jovana Jovovic; Otero's Macy Myers; Sheridan's Tamara Brine and Zuzana Talackova; WNCC's Hannah Sparks, and Western Wyoming's Reece Bauer.

                The Region IX coaches of the year were McCook's Jon Frolich from the South and Casper Dwight Gunnare from the North.
