Samuel Acosta said the key to the win was playing like the game plan and keeping up the intensity.

"We played like we planned," the sophomore said. "It was a solid performance from all of the team. We are trying to improve every day, we know our potential and we want to show every one."
He added that communication was the key.

"The keys to victory was keeping our intensity up and fighting for every single ball," Acosta said. "The communication was important, too."

Sebastian Arenas said for the Cougars to get a good playoff spot, this win was important.

"It was really important for us to win this game to gain our confidence back," he said. "We have more games and we know the importance of them in order to fill our dreams."
WNCC got the scoring quick and never would relinquish the lead. Isrrael Rodriquez scored about 10 minutes in the contest off of assists from Pablo Dominguez and Eduardo Oliveira. Halfway through the first half, WNCC made it 2-0 when Dominguez scored off an assist from Guiherme Lindolfo.

WNCC wasn't through in the opening half when Luis Terreros scored off an assist from Dominguez with 17 minutes to play in the half for a 3-0 lead. That is where the teams went into halftime at.

The second half was a lot more competitive. WNCC started the second half with two missed shots, but with 37 minutes to play, Oliveira scored to make it 4-0 off a Rodriquez assist.

That was all the Cougars needed as the defense pitched the shutout. WNCC outshot Trinidad 23-7. The Cougars had five corner kicks to Trinidad's two.
